2025 Mustang Colt

Ghost is the spirited young colt of our farm and the beloved son of Bonnie. Born into hardship but now growing up surrounded by safety and stability, Ghost is a living reminder of why rescue matters.

He is part of Stark’s family band, the same group that came from a devastating situation after an internet “rescue” from a kill lot went wrong. Though they were labeled “safe,” the band was repeatedly passed around before being abandoned at a quarantine facility with no reliable food source. When we found them, they were emaciated, malnourished, and barely holding on.

Throughout months of support, ensuring they were fed and checked on, Ghost stayed close to his mother’s side, relying on her calm resilience. When no safe placements could be found, the entire band made their way to our South location, where they now have a permanent home and a future filled with stability instead of uncertainty.

Ghost is still learning about the world, taking careful cues from Bonnie, Stark, and the other mares, as he grows into his own personality. Shy but curious, he watches everything with wide, thoughtful eyes, deciding slowly and surely what feels safe. Each day, we see a little more confidence, a little more playfulness, and the beginnings of a colt who finally has the freedom to simply be young.

Here, Ghost will grow up knowing consistency, compassion, and choice, everything he was denied at the start of his life. We’re so grateful to be part of his story and excited to watch him become who he was always meant to be.
