Mustang Mare

Haven is approximately 5-7 years old and came to us from our friends at Hasty’s Haven. Despite their incredible care, it became clear that Haven wasn't thriving in a traditional domestic setting. In a truly selfless act of love, her previous rescuers recognized that to honor Haven’s true self, she needed the freedom and social structure that only a sanctuary environment could provide.

Transitioning into a herd can be daunting, but Haven found her footing almost instantly. We introduced her to a small family unit led by the former stallion, Stark. Stark, known for his protective yet steady nature, took to her the moment they met. He didn't just accept her; he immediately welcomed her into his inner circle, shielding her as she adjusted to the sights and sounds of the wilder life.

Today, Haven is no longer a horse "in training" or "in transition." She is a member of a band, a part of a herd, and, for the first time, entirely herself..
