Nar Rakasa
2012 Mustang Mare
Kasa, formerly Tag 5397, is one of 12 sale authority mustangs we rescued from a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adoption event in February 2025. Sale authority status means a horse has gone through three adoption events without finding a home, making them available for just $25—a price that often puts them at risk of falling into the wrong hands. But thanks to the generosity of our incredible donors, we were able to rescue every sale authority horse at the event, ensuring they would never face an uncertain future. Now, Kasa and her herd will live out their days in safety at our sanctuary, free from fear.
She knew about a decade of freedom before being rounded up from the Twin Peaks HMA in 2022. Like Aurora, she also has a brand on her hip, meaning she was previously captured, given fertility control, and released, only to be rounded up again. Now, she gets to experience freedom once again at our sanctuary—where holding facilities and fear are nothing more than a distant memory. Her past may be marked by uncertainty, but her future is filled with safety, peace, and the chance to truly live as she was meant to
Kasa currently has no monthly sponsors.
