2018 Mustang Mare

Willow was originally with a family near our Timmonsville, SC location, but wasn’t adjusting to domestic life. She managed to escape from their fencing one time and although she did come back, they just knew she needed to be placed in a sanctuary and reached out to us. Originally we had to add her to our waitlist, but eventually space opened up and we were able to welcome her to our farm.

She immediately took to Stark and his family and introductions went well with the rest of the herd. While she isn’t too keen on human interaction, you can definitely see sparks of curiosity peek through.

In August 2026, Willow surprised us all by giving birth to a filly. We (nor her previous owners) had any clue she was pregnant. It took some time for her to pass her placenta, which did require us to medically intervene with our dart gun we have on hand when necessary for the unhandled mustangs, but she eventually passed it and both mom and baby are thriving.
